The main purpose of the project was to contribute to conflict resolution and establishment of equal access to justice as well as fair trials to all citizens and ethnic groups in the South of Serbia, through transfer of necessary practical knowledge to representatives of the Judiciary, in order to improve their everyday proceedings and efficiency, taking into account specific political and judicial circumstances in that region.
Through the development of a tailor made training programme, based on the training curricula developed by the Judicial Academy and analysis of the work of the of Courts covering the jurisdictions of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, the project was addressed everyday skills and professional needs of 60 judges, prosecutors, assistants, court translators and police representatives.
The Project was implemented during 2012/2013 in Vranje,
with support of the British Embassy in Belgrade.
